Metaphor is a fundamental stylistic device that reflects the interaction between language, culture, and cognition. This paper explores how cultural and linguistic factors influence metaphor formation in English and Karakalpak poetry. By comparing poetic traditions, symbolic systems, and worldview representations, the study reveals that metaphors are deeply rooted in cultural experiences and linguistic structures. English poetry often draws on industrial, maritime, and classical traditions, while Karakalpak poetry reflects nomadic heritage, nature, and oral traditions. The analysis highlights both universal patterns and culture-specific features in metaphor usage. Ultimately, the study demonstrates that metaphor serves not only as an artistic tool but also as a cultural code that conveys collective identity and worldview.
