Abstract. This study is devoted to the petrological characteristics of lamprophyre dykes located in the Karatov Mountains and their role in the magmatic evolution of the South Nurota Range. Lamprophyres are potassium-rich, volatile-rich igneous rocks formed under conditions of pre-arc and post-collisional magmatism. The article reviews the mineral composition, petrochemical properties and geodynamic conditions of these dykes based on a literature review. The results provide new information about the Paleozoic mantle evolution and tectonic processes in the South Nurota region. The study aims to determine the significance of lamprophyre dykes in the context of regional magmatism.
Keywords: lamprophyre dykes, Karatov Mountains, South Nurota, petrology, magmatic evolution, mantle magmatism, geodynamic conditions, potassium-rich magmatism.
