Abstract. In this article, we will consider the role and importance of small hydroelectric power plants in our energy system, the analysis of vibrations in hydroelectric units in small hydroelectric power plants, their origin and preventive measures. We will also consider the operating principle of vertical hydroelectric units and their advantages in energy production.
