Abstract. Maria Montessori was an outstanding teacher of the 20th century, who developed a unique method for the early development of children. His approach was aimed at creating special conditions that encourage the child's independence, curiosity and all-round development. This article provides detailed information about the importance and effects of M. Montessori's methodology in the development of speech of children of preschool age.
