Abstract. Today, the rational use of mineral fertilizers in humus-poor soils of Central Asia has led to a significant increase in the yield of all cultivated crops. This situation has led some agricultural workers to reduce, and sometimes ignore, the role of humus in soil fertility, which is reflected in the farming system in which measures to preserve and increase soil organic matter have not been given due attention, and not only in Uzbekistan. In general, in Central Asia, it is necessary to pay attention to increasing the supply of humus to the soil, which means achieving a number of achievements in agriculture.
