Abstract. The procedure for preparing all segments of the population for actions in emergency situations and in the field of civil protection, as well as the actions of heads of state administration bodies, local executive bodies and other organizations, workers and employees in the prevention and elimination of emergency situations and civil protection. There are also scientifically based sources on the psychological mechanisms of providing psychological support and correction to people in extreme situations as a direct witness, perpetrator or victim of an emergency.
