Abstract. This article contains mainly theoretical material on the topic “Vocabulary”. As well as words that can be cited as examples for a specific topic; linguistic and methodological foundations for vocabulary enrichment; consistency of vocabulary; the meaning of a lexical unit from the point of view of language teaching; organization of lexical material for educational purposes.
