LIFE AND WORK OF ANNA AKHMATOVA IN TASHKENT

Abstract. In the autumn of 1941, Anna Akhmatova was evacuated from besieged Leningrad to Tashkent. The poet's perception of the East was reflected in the "Tashkent cycle" of poems and memoirs imbued with warmth and a sense of gratitude to the Uzbek people. This article talks about how during the difficult years of the war A.Akhmatova found support, kindness and attention of ordinary people in Uzbekistan.
