UNLOCKING LANGUAGE LEARNING POTENTIAL: THE IMPACT OF MULTIMEDIA IN LANGUAGE EDUCATION

Abstract. When knowledge or instruction is delivered through a variety of media, including text, photos, audio, video, animations, and interactive features, it's referred to as multimedia learning. It is predicated on the notion that knowledge is best retained when provided to individuals through a range of sensory modalities. Since different people have varied learning styles and preferences, this approach can accommodate a range of learning demands by incorporating multiple types of media. For example, some individuals may learn best with visual aids such as diagrams or films, while others might benefit from interactive simulations or audio explanations. This article analyzes pros and cons of using multimedia in teaching foreign languages.
